The Sportsman takes the classic British Boozer and brings it bang up to date.
With its beautiful Art Deco interior we’ve restored the original feature to their former glory. We won English Heritage Pub Design Awards in 2010.
A great pub needs great beer and The Sportsman clearly delivers on this count. Rotating cask & craft taps bring you the best there is in UK & world beers, fantastic real ciders and a fridge bursting at the seams with top class Belgian beers deliver what you’d expect and that’s before you start on the cellar aged specials and some of the 50+ whiskies.

Yesterday we had Scran and Sup cooking up some amazing food for our 15th birthday and it was smiles and loosened belt buckles all round! The beef stew was cooked using beer from Mallinsons Brewing Company so they decided to come and visit to sample the end result 🍻 A big thank you to Scran and Sup for doing a wonderful job and to all our lovely customers for making the event so special ❤
