The County is the baby of the Beerhouses family, joining us in 2022. In that short time, we feel we have made our presence felt, being included in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide and winning Huddersfield CAMRA’s Pub of the Year in 2024. The pub is also available for private hire so you can have the whole place to yourself, if you want!
We’ve renovated the pub, restoring its Art Nouveau interior and creating a welcoming ambience that can be enjoyed equally by those attending events at the nearby Huddersfield Town Hall, students from the University of Huddersfield, or anyone shopping or visiting the town.
The County has a good mix of new and traditional, with an often quirky events schedule and a great line in cocktails – many of which are TC originals, but we also welcome in the football crowd and our beer line-up is always amazing!
Food at The County
We offer a range of homemade bar snacks, match day (Huddersfield Town FC) food, and put on frequent pop-up food events. We can also cater for groups if pre-booked.

Our back room doubles as a function room. It comfortably accommodates up to 20 people, seated, and is free to hire so perfect for gatherings, hobby groups, and clubs.

The group stage is over which means we are down the business stages, starting the round of 32 we have some great deals on across the bar
Starting with tomorrow all our Japanese whiskey will be 20% with all cask reduced on Wednesday for the England game at 5pm
Anyone reading this who comes to the quiz don't worry this will not affect the timing of the quiz, even with the possibility of extra time we still are expecting to start the quiz at the usual time of 8pm
All deals start an hour before the kick off time until the game finishes! The sweepstake is starting to have a couple of people in front with heaviest defeat looking like it will go to Qatar as it stands
And despite only some deals on we will still be showing all games that are with in suitable times, if it's not on the TV just let us know and we will put it on

As the weekend comes to a close we just want to thank everyone for turning up for the geek quiz last night, it was a great evening filled with heckles and laughs
We hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did, a big thank you to Mickey for writing and hosting the quiz
And for everyone who donated to the Huddersfield Halifax and Bradford RSPCA we can't be more grateful, we love supporting them and they work their socks off every single day which is why we keep supporting them
