The Cricketers is the only Beerhouse pub located in a village and not a town centre, set in the charming surroundings of Horbury in Wakefield. Family and dog friendly, we have a real fire roaring in the grate in the winter and a covered beer garden for the summer.
As you would expect from a Beerhouses pub, we have an excellent range of rotating cask ales on the bar and have consistently appeared in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide since 2012 as well as won numerous awards.

We’ve been known for putting on the odd beer festival and we have a number of regular events to enjoy.

Our cosy function room, seating up to 30 people is free to hire for parties, meetings, or groupings of any kind.

Abbeydale Brewery Celebrating 30 years! Lunar Moonshine’s classic combination of willamette, citrus and centennial and added new Australian Luna hops for a boost of extra citrus, stone fruit and tasty tropical notes.
Still beautifully balanced with a delicious subtle bitterness, and shining as brightly as it was in 1996. Luna hops bring additional mango, passionfruit, blackberry, blackcurrant, orange, and grapefruit. It is a third generation of the American hop Liberty mixed with high alpha Australian lineage.
