Do The Ale Trail..

As seen recently on Oz and James Drink to Britain, the ale trail is an increasingly popular way to spend an afternoon with friends! Travel conveniently by train to some of the finest pubs West Yorkshire (and beyond) has to offer!

Our station bar, The West Riding in Dewsbury featured prominently in the first episode of BBC2’s Oz and James Drink to Britain, we offer 8 real ales, guaranteeing something for everyone.

After Dewsbury, 9 minutes onto Huddersfield where the train station holds not one, but two real ale pubs and now our sister pub The Sportsman is open just a 3 minute walk left out of the Huddersfield Train Station and under the viaduct.

Then from Huddersfield you can either turn round and come back or you can venture out to Slaithwaite, Marsden, Stalybridge and beyond!
